A Long Road

Updated: Sep 17, 2020

For those who have been following along the past few months on Instagram and those just joining us now, we just want to welcome you to our blog! We had quiet a few obstacles to hurdle around but its safe to say we are here to stay! So a little bit more about the Rated X Moto custom bike build. At the beginning of December last year we announced that we would be revealing our custom motorcycle at the Progressive International Motorcycle show in the Javits Center in New York City and we did just that. It was a great success with many positives and we were very blessed to have the out come on the motorcycle that we did. But first I want to tell you about the road to get here first! It’s a bit of a long story but any how, back in May of 2019 I had a car tent outside where we use to store a few things because we just moved into our new shop and had to set up the benches and stuff. In the tent we stored a few bikes and among them was a 2005 Suzuki GSXR 600 that definitely needed a lot of love as it was. Pretty much was a hack job! In a wind storm the tent blew over taking a few bikes down but this one was scratched and scrapped everywhere. It was almost sold for parts believe it or not! We finished the shop set up and brought the bike inside and the bike sat in the corner. Then one day I was starring at it from across the shop and said to my wife “I never built a street fighter style motorcycle before. I have some ideas for this one.” She looked at me like I was nuts because I never took on a major custom fabrication project on before like this. Well through all the blood and tears I did it and we completed it the day before the show delivery. Just goes without say if you put your time and effort into something then the positive outcomes are endless! Here are a few pictures of the build during fabrication and we will be posting up a blog about what inspired the build soon to follow. Thanks for joining us and don’t forget to follow us on Instagram, Facebook and of course join our site subscription.
